well on my way

so last month i did about 87 miles of walking. my goal for january was to hit 90. i think i’m gonna beat that :) as of yesterday, 1/13/12, i walked 52.01 miles. if i keep this up i might even hit 100 miles for the month. we’ll see. life happens. i’m still just shooting for 90.

i’m facebook ‘friends’ w/ a guy who grew up in my neighborhood. he’s a year younger than me. we don’t talk, haven’t since we were kids. anyways. last year he was always posting about losing weight & going out to run. his weight really blew up after high school. anyway, he recently posted that he’s going to post his weight in his facebook status every day just to get his facebook friends to motivate him & hold him accountable. this morning he posted his weight - 276. i was 33# heavier at my highest. some of his friends responded to his status w/ their weights. though i won’t be posting mine on FB, i’m impressed w/ his decision.

myself, i’ve been stuck at 218 since 1/11. it’s pissing me off. i’m not getting too down though b/c i can see changes w/ my body since then. and i’ve walked a TON. so i know its just a matter of time before that scale starts reflecting it. only 9 more pounds to lose before i hit the mark of having lost 100#!!!

its pretty cold this morning here in FL. about 40 degrees. i had to bundle up to let my dog out. now i’ve gotta head out to work soon. after that i’m coming home & sleeping alllllll day. i just don’t care. i want to sleep the day away!
