weight loss starts with a "day 1"
for me, today is day 420. i’ve been at this for nearly 14 months. still going strong.
i’m on my lunch break right now. work has been busy for me. in general, it is slow. but they gave the kennel tech off since we don’t have any boarders, just our kennel dog. but then we end up having 2 baths drop off. so i’m going between the front and back to do rooms and baths.

a weekend of emotions
first of all, today i weigh 213. amazing. i’ve lost 96#. only 4# left in the countdown to lose 100#. i’m super excited about hitting that milestone. i’ve been spending the day cleaning and would do a few minutes on the treadmill while waiting for my dog to do his business in the back yard each time.

5# till i can say i’ve lost 100#. 64# until my UGW. i’m getting so close. i kind of had a moment this morning. i was in the shower and realized how close i am to being out of the 200’s. it’s insane b/c just over a year ago i was in the 300’s. unbelievable. i’m so proud of myself. gotta keep this momentum going!!

today was my day off. had an ok day. i slept in. vlogged ( http://www.youtube.com/lissavlog ). went to get groceries & my mail. finished & mailed in my tax questionnaire that my accountant sent me. ate good. did not drink much water today. walked about 3 miles tonight. got w/ my mom and worked on vegas plans.

i’m so close to having lost 100#. maybe 2 more weeks and i’ll be there. i’m extremely proud to keep up the pace of losing 3# a week. all my hard work is paying off each week and i love it!!!

a good start to my day
so to my utter shock, i weigh 215 today. i was stuck at 218 for 4 or 5 days, was 217 yesterday, then 215 today. i love it! lost 3# in 2 days. as far as my countdown to lose 100#…i’ve got SIX POUNDS to go!!! i’m sooo close. give me 2 weeks and i’ll be there!!!
last month i walked 87 miles. so this month i wanted to do at least 90. well, we’re halfway through the month...

down to 217 today. i’ve lost 92#. just 8# until i’ve lost 100#. what an incredible journey…so far. i’ve got a long way to go. but i don’t think about my progress as much as i should. i need to take more time to recognize and appreciate what i’ve accomplished so far.

glad i booked it when i did!
so i paid $427.10 for roundtrip to Las Vegas. now, for the same flights, the price is $741.40. wowzer!!! so glad i booked it last month. can’t believe it is more than $300 higher. the hotel price has gone up too, but sadly we have not booked that yet.

well on my way
so last month i did about 87 miles of walking. my goal for january was to hit 90. i think i’m gonna beat that :) as of yesterday, 1/13/12, i walked 52.01 miles. if i keep this up i might even hit 100 miles for the month. we’ll see. life happens. i’m still just shooting for 90.

trying to help, but being held back
since the beginning, my mom and i have worked together to lose weight. we started just over a year ago and i got her up and walking and encouraged her to eat better. every day i say “you ready to go walking?” and we go. but lately she has been slowing me down. we use to walk about 3.5mph but she’s slowing down to 3.0 and i end up walking ahead of her. i want to walk w/ her but...

countdown to 100!
today i have officially lost 90 pounds!!!! i’m 219 today. i have 10 more pounds before i hit the mark of having lost 100 pounds. i’m pretty excited about that. realizing that i’m THAT close to losing 100# has lit a fire inside me. i really want to push myself to get there. i still have about 24 pounds that i want to lose by march 18th - when i go to las vegas. totally possible....
